Napoli preview: Stuttering start
Over the summer, Napoli appointed Massimiliano Allegri to replace Antonio Conte and the Neapolitans have, perhaps as to be expected after his average stint in charge of AC Milan last year, been fairly average at the start of this season.
They have won just two of their opening six matches across all competitions and went into the international break on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi in Tuscany a few weeks ago.
Frosinone preview: Enterprising start
Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Frosinone have started the campaign extremely well with three victories and a draw in their opening five matches as they begin the return to action sitting in the top six in Serie A.
The Romans headed into the break on the back of an extremely impressive 2-0 defeat of Como at Stadio Benito Stripe a few weeks ago, courtesy of first half goals scored by Giacomo Calo and Giorgi Kvernadze.
Napoli team news: Several doubts
Napoli are dealing with several injury doubts for this weekend as Alex Meret remains a doubt alongside the likes of Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Alisson Santos.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Milinkovic-Savic; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Mathias Olivera; De Bruyne, Lobotka, Gilmour; Politano, Hojlund, Lang
Unavailable: Buongiorno (Injured), Favasuli (Injured)
Questionable: Meret (Fitness), Marianucci (Fitness), Spinazzola (Injured), Anguissa (Fitness), McTominay (Illness), Alisson Santos (Fitness), Giovane (Fitness)
Frosinone team news: Raimondo a doubt
Antonio Raimondo has succumbed to a heel injury over the international break and he is now a doubt with Austria international midfielder Florian Grillitsch still sidelined, too.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Palmisani; A. Oyono, Calvani, Monterisi, Bracaglia; Masini, Calo; Ghedjemis, Schmid, Kvernadze; Birligea
Unavailable: Grillitsch (Injured)
Questionable: Raimondo (Injured)
Napoli vs Frosinone prediction
Frosinone have been extremely impressive at the start of this season and they will fancy themselves to again take the game to the Neapolitans after doing so against a stronger Como side a few weeks ago. Napoli don’t necessarily appear to have much of an idea of what to do at the moment but they do still have enough firepower to eventually break down the door, by hook or by crook, here.
