Mumbai City vs Mohun Bagan Prediction

Not only is it now five straight victories for league leaders Mohun Bagan, it’s also six games running where they have managed to keep a clean sheet, scoring 12 goals themselves in that period. This record alone underlines why they will be expected to defeat Mumbai City, although the hosts have a decent record themselves recently.

Mumbai City have lost just one of their last six matches, but that defeat came against second-placed Goa which shows that whilst Mumbai are a good team, they are a level below those top sides such as Goa and of course, table toppers Mohun Bagan whose defensive stability should ensure they shut down the hosts.

Although Mohun Bagan will not be expected to steamroll their opponents here as they did to the likes of Mohammedan, Punjab and Kerala Blasters, it’s still well worth backing them to get the better of Mumbai and to do so whilst keeping another clean sheet.
