Montreal come into this one on the back of a surprise 1-0 defeat of New York City in their most recent outing last weekend, courtesy of a 22nd minute winner scored by midfielder Victor Loturi. That was just the Canadians third victory of the 2025 Major League Soccer campaign, after 20 matches.
They face a star studded Inter Miami side that, coached by Javier Mascherano, reached the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, with an impressive defeat of Porto and a couple of draws against Al Ahly and Palmeiras, before being hammered by four goals to nil by European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Montreal have shown a bit of improvement of late with that win against NYCFC, and they are expected to try and frustrate an Inter Miami side that will be finding the schedule relentless, so a low-scoring encounter would appear a bet for this one.
