Montenegro vs Faroe Islands Prediction

Montenegro have been declining fairly consistently over the last decade or so but they got their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign off to a winning start as they now take on the Faroe Islands this week.

Montenegro went behind by a goal to nil against one of the weakest sides in European international football, Gibraltar, the other day before turning the game on its head and eventually comfortably winning comfortably by three goals to one thanks to strikes from Marko Tuci, Stevan Jovetic and Adam Marusic.

The Faroe Islands, on the other hand, were stubborn in defeat but it did still end in a defeat as they lost by two goals to one against Czechia in Prague the other day. They equalised in the 83rd minute of that game at the Malsovicka Arena but Czechia eventually ran out 2-1 winners with Patrik Schick completing a brace.

The visitors will be confident of proving a stubborn and difficult threat to a Montenegro side that would still have to be viewed as slight favourites with their home advantage.
