Monaco preview: New look Monegasque
Over the October international break, Monaco decided to sack manager Adi Hutter and they replaced him with Sebastian Pocognoli, who led Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League title last weekend.
The Monegasque were pegged back to a 1-1 draw against a very poor Angers side at Stade Raymond Kopa last weekend before they then shared a goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.
Toulouse preview: Steady Toulouse
Toulouse have been one of the more consistent teams in Ligue 1 as they often finish firmly in the middle-of-the-table, and another season of mid-table obscurity seems likely, under the management of Carlos Martinez Novell.
The visitors come into this one on the back of a 4-0 hammering of Metz at Stadium de Toulouse last weekend in which Frank Magri, Aron Donnum, Yann Gboho and Charlie Cresswell to complete a rout.
Monaco team news: A few injuries
Paul Pogba is working his way back to full fitness but he has suffered a slight hamstring injury so he is now still sidelined alongside the likes of Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier and Denis Zakaria.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Kohn; Kehrer, Salisu, Caio Henrique; Diatta, Teze, Coulibaly, Ouattara; Akliouche, Ansu Fati; Balogun
Unavailable: Hradecky (Injured), Dier (Injured), Zakaria (Injured), Camara (Injured), Pogba (Injured)
Questionable: Vanderson (Injured), Diatta (Injured)
Toulouse team news: Nothing fresh
There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Toulouse this weekend as defender Niklas Schmidt remains sidelined alongside Ilyas Azizi, whilst Rafik Messali is a doubt.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Restes; Sidibe, Cresswell, Nicolaisen; Magri, Cristian Casseres Jr, Francis, Methalie; Emersonn, Donnum, Gboho
Unavailable: Schmidt (Injured), Azizi (Injured)
Questionable: Messali (Injured)
Monaco vs Toulouse prediction
Monaco, with their home advantage, will be expected to ease to quite a comfortable victory at Stade Louis II, but the Principality club may well have hurt themselves by making a managerial switch at quite a bizarre time and quite unnecessarily. Toulouse will head to Stade Louis II with a bit of confidence at the moment with their good form. Monaco remain favourites but it should be quite a good watch for the neutral.
Monaco vs Toulouse tip: Monaco to win & both teams to score
