Monaco vs Nice prediction

Monaco have been a somewhat chaotic team this season, with plenty of excellent wins supplemented with big losses, but their good side was on show midweek when an injury-time Eric Dier penalty earned them a 2-2 draw against Man City in the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League side having taken the lead twice through Erling Haaland.

Heading into the weekend, they are the top scorers in the French top flight, with Adi Hutter's side averaging over two goals per game, but they are also conceding plenty of chances and shipped three in their defeat to Angers last weekend, albeit with ten men after Thilo Kehrer was given his marching orders in the first half.

Nice were mere minutes away from what would have been their third league win of the season last weekend, only for Paris FC to score in the 88th minute to ensure it was honours even at Allianz Riviera.

Thursday evening saw them lose 2-1 to Turkish side Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League - their second consecutive loss in the league phase.

Wednesday's draw with Premier League giants Man City will surely have given Monaco confidence that they can embark on a sustained run of form, and we're backing them to get back to winning ways in this one.
