Monaco vs Nantes prediction

After a woeful start to the Sebastien Pocognoli era in Monaco, the Monegasque have now gone suffered just one defeat in their last five matches across all competitions. The home team were held to a goalless draw with Nice at the Allianz Riviera in the Derby de la Cote d’Azur last weekend.

Nantes have been circling the drain in Ligue 1 for quite some time and they now begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom two and the automatic relegation places. The Canaries’ 1-0 loss to Olympique Lyonnais made it four defeats on the bounce for the visitors.

Nantes went for a change in management with the sacking of Luis Castro in the winter break but, predictably, it hasn’t worked and Monaco should win this one.
