LANDO VANNATA VS DANIEL ZELLHUBER LOWDOWN

Lando Vannata returns to action after his last bout had to be cancelled due to injury. He was set to face Andre Fili in September 2022 but that was pulled so the 31-year-old now brings his 12-6-2 record to face talented young Mexican Daniel Zellhuber in the featherweight division.

Zellhuber is a bright young prospect coming out Dana White’s Contender Series but he lost on his UFC debut last time out against Trey Ogden as the judges’ scorecards went against him. This marks another step up in quality for the 23-year-old and he will be determined to get his first victory in the Octagon.

LANDO VANNATA VS DANIEL ZELLHUBER PREDICTION

Lando Vannata faces off against Daniel Zellhuber at UFC on ESPN 44 with both fighters desperate to get the win and take a step forward in their UFC careers. Both come off losses and while the two are at different ends of their careers, there is some urgency and desperation for both to get back to winning ways. Vannata has experience on his side and while he has had mixed results in recent years, the quality of opposition he has faced is far greater than that which Zellhuber is used to facing. The veteran is marginally favoured to edge past the 23-year-old Zellhuber, likely via decision.
