MK Dons vs Oldham prediction

Having appointed Paul Warne, Milton Keynes Dons are looking to put right a few years’ of underperformance, and they have spent a fair bit this summer, too, with the arrivals of big names for the level such as Gethin Jones, Callum Paterson, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Will Collar and Aaron Collins. It may take time to gel, though.

In their National League play-off campaign in the 2024/25 season, Oldham Athletic managed to finally click under the management of Micky Mellon, defeating Southend United in the final. The Latics have had an indifferent summer transfer window, but they will still be expected to push up the table in League Two.

Despite that, though, Oldham may be slow starters for this clash, and MK Dons have to be viewed as firm favourites to get their likely strong campaign off to a home victory.
