Millwall vs Middlesbrough prediction

Millwall missed out on the top six and the playoff places last season but former Norwich City boss Alex Neil is expected to continue the Lions’ push for Premier League football. They began their campaign with a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road on the opening day of the season before an EFL Cup win in midweek against Newport County.

Over the summer, former Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has replaced Michael Carrick at Middlesbrough, with the Smoggies having underperformed in the last couple of seasons. They did begin their season with a defeat of Swansea City last weekend, before being hammered 4-0 by League One Doncaster Rovers in the cup in midweek.

Middlesbrough showed signs of Edwards’ style last week, but Millwall are expected to avoid defeat against a team still lacking cohesion, especially with their home advantage.
