Millwall vs Hull City prediction

Millwall will no doubt be backing home advantage to prove decisive in this second leg as a ferocious Den awaits these two teams with the aggregate score level. A cagey 0-0 draw was played out in the first-leg and the return contest is expected to be just as close. Josh Coburn started for the Lions after missing the end of the regular season through injury and should be significantly sharper with significant minutes under his belt on Friday.

Hull City will no doubt pose a significant counter-attacking threat through the likes of Joe Gelhardt whilst big Oliver McBurnie up front is always up for a battle. But Alex Neil, a notorious play-off winner will no doubt have a good plan to cope with the Tigers’ offensive threat, with Jake Cooper and Tristan Crama having been outstanding all season.

It’s hard to see Hull City being able to keep out Millwall for a second consecutive leg, especially at the Den with Lions fans no doubt ready to play their part from the stands. Millwall were the third best team in the Championship across the season and in what is effectively a one-off knockout fixture at home, have to be favoured against Hull.
