Middlesbrough vs Plymouth prediction

Michael Carrick is under a bit of pressure in charge of Middlesbrough as they begin Good Friday now sitting three points adrift of the top six and the playoff places due to back-to-back losses. The most recent of those losses saw them suffer a 1-0 defeat to fellow top six pushers Millwall at The Den last weekend due to a Camiel Neghli goal.

They now face a Plymouth Argyle side that managed to produce a late and dramatic turnaround against automatic promotion chasing Sheffield United at Home Park last weekend thanks to late goals scored by Ryan Hardie and Muhamed Tijjani. The Pilgrims now themselves sit three points adrift of safety in the second-tier.

This game could end up being quite chaotic at the Riverside with both sides’ seasons on the line so both teams scoring may well be a good bet for this one on Teesside.

Middlesbrough vs Plymouth tip: Both teams to score
