Middlesbrough vs Norwich prediction

Michael Carrick, as mentioned, is under growing pressure for his job in charge of Middlesbrough as the Smoggies begin the penultimate match day of the season sitting three points adrift of the top six and the playoff places. They were beaten 2-1 by Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough the other day after leading the game at half-time with some crucial Tommy Conway misses.

They now face a Norwich City side that decided to part company with manager Johannes Hoff Thorup earlier this week and that means Carrick’s former England teammate Jack Wilshere will be in the dugout on an interim basis this weekend. The Canaries most recently suffered a 3-1 defeat to Millwall at The Den on Easter Monday.

Middlesbrough will remain favourites for this one with their home advantage but the tension as well as Wilshere’s influence might make it quite an entertaining watch for the neutral.
