Middlesbrough vs Blackburn Prediction

This all-Championship affair sees two teams that are both chasing for the top six and the playoff places in the second-tier with Middlesbrough sitting just about tucked inside the top six and Blackburn Rovers having fallen just outside of the playoffs.

Michael Carrick’s ‘Boro have been frustrated this season with too many draws and that was the case last weekend as they shared a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at the Riverside last weekend. That was their fourth draw in their last five matches but they are unbeaten in their last six games in the second division.

Blackburn Rovers come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat to Burnley in the east Lancashire derby at Ewood Park last weekend thanks to a second-half winner from Zian Flemming. That means Rovers are now winless in their last five matches in the Championship as they seemingly begin their now annual mid-season slide.

Middlesbrough have struggled to get over the line and they take on a Blackburn side striving for some fluency and form so a low-scoring affair is to be expected on Teesside.

Middlesbrough vs Blackburn Tip: Under 2.5 goals
