Edwards has not taken training leading into this match and it would be no surprise if we did see him depart Middlesbrough.
The drama surrounding Edwards is unlikely to have helped Boro in terms of preparation going into a big game against a Birmingham City side full of confidence after consecutive 4-0 thrashings of Portsmouth and Millwall respectively.
