Mexico vs Panama Prediction

Ahead of co-hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Canada and the United States, the Mexicans are looking to build well after a few years of underperformance with the aforementioned former Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre taking charge of El Tri.

The Mexicans come into this one on the back of having defeated Canada by two goals to nil in the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Nations League in Los Angeles the other day thanks to a brace of goals from in-form striker Raul Jimenez. They have begun to turn a corner since the appointment of Javier Aguirre.

Panama, on the other hand, pulled off a shock 1-0 defeat of hosts United States at the SoFi Stadium with Cecilio Waterman notching a dramatic 94th minute strike to send the Panamanians through to the final amid fairly bizarre but comical celebrations shared with CBS pundit Thierry Henry.

Mexico, as is always Javier Aguirre’s want, will seek defensive and territorial control of the game and, with a lack of general thrust or quality in attack for Panama, Mexico should sneak themselves over the line and become the first team aside from the USA to win the CONCACAF Nations League.

Mexico vs Panama Tip: Mexico to win & under 3.5 goals
