Melbourne City vs Buriram United prediction

Melbourne City come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Auckland, meaning that the Australians sit ninth in the A League table after a very disappointing opening few months to their domestic campaign.

Buriram United most recently hammered Khon Kaen United by six goals to nil in the quarter-finals of the Thai FA Cup last week, meaning that they have lost just two of their last 21 matches across all competitions.

That is a run that stretches back to a 2-1 loss in Melbourne against City in the group stages and so will give the hosts some confidence but the visitors are slight favourites to come out on top in both legs of this round of 16 clash.

Melbourne City vs Buriram United tip: Buriram United to win & both teams to score
