Maribor vs Paksi prediction

In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie, Maribor suffered a surprise defeat to Paksi at the Paksi FC Stadium in Hungary last week. In what was a close contest, Jozsef Windecker’s 52nd minute strike was enough to separate the two sides.

Paksi were knocked out in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League earlier this month as they suffered a 3-0 aggregate defeat to Romanian champions CFR Cluj. Maribor have been in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League in the past on a couple of occasions but have certainly fallen since those heights.

Maribor will be the firm favourites to try and get themselves back into the tie but, regardless of the match result, it is expected to be a low-scoring contest.

Maribor vs Paksi tip: Under 2.5 goals
