Manly Sea Eagles vs Dolphins prediction

The Manly Sea Eagles (10th) are in freefall, having lost four consecutive games to plummet out of the top eight. Their last outing was a disappointing 26-12 defeat to the Wests Tigers.

The Dolphins (9th) are also struggling for consistency, losing their last two games. Their most recent match was a 38-28 loss in the Brisbane derby, a game where they surrendered a significant lead.

Sea Eagles halfback Daly Cherry-Evans will become just the fifth player in NRL history to play 350 games for a single club. The rumors have swirled this week that it may indeed be his swansong and a vintage performance from him would not surprise.

Dolphins flyer Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow leads the NRL with 18 tries this season. Against a defence that has struggled in recent weeks, look for him to add to his tally.

With only two previous encounters, the head-to-head record is split at one win apiece. The Dolphins won the most recent clash 30-24 in 2024, while Manly recorded a huge 58-18 victory in their inaugural meeting in 2023.

With greater scoring power, the Dolphins look better placed to overcome a Manly side struggling badly in attack, having scored only 32 points in the last four games. This has a Brookvale ambush written all over it though so look for a spirited effort from the home side in Cherry-Evans’ last home match.
