Perhaps not the standards the neutral would expect of Manchester United but definitely a fair reflection and representation of what the Red Devils are this season. They have won just four of Amorim’s 15 Premier League matches.
Ipswich Preview: Drifting from safety
Ipswich Town appeared to have given themselves a real chance of survival at the turn of the year but the Tractor Boys now seem destined for the drop as they begin the 27th match day of the campaign sitting five points adrift of safety.
The visitors come into this one on the back of a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur at Portman Road at the weekend in a game in which they were 2-0 down relatively early, got a goal back before then failing to continue a fight back and suffering a 4-1 loss.

Ahead of the visit of Ipswich, Ruben Amorim has said he does not expect any of United's injured players to return to the squad. Toby Collyer was reportedly the closest to returning ahead of the weekend but Amorim's update would suggest he also remains sidelined.

Manchester United lack attacking cohesion and it is not helped by the limited attacking numbers and general quality that they have at their disposal after a fairly bizarre winter transfer window. Ipswich will likely appear a it better on the ball in terms of having a clue of what they want to do on the ball but, to their credit, United have, over the last few years, found a way to just about get by enough times to avoid the genuine humiliation and ignominy of a serious relegation battle.
