Man Utd team news: Dorgu blow

A hamstring injury will keep Patrick Dorgu out of action for some time, while Matthijs de Ligt will miss out again with the central defender yet to return to training after a back injury.

In more positive news, Joshua Zirkzee has resumed training and could be an option on Sunday.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Diallo, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo

Unavailable: De Ligt (Injured), Dorgu (Injured)

Questionable: Zirkzee (Fitness)

Fulham team news: Bobb may have to wait

This game likely comes too soon for recent signing Oscar Bobb, while Samuel Chukwueze could miss out due to a recent family bereavement.

Kenny Tete is fit again, but Sasa Lukic and Rodrigo Muniz are absent once more.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leno; Diop, Andersen, Bassey; Castagne, Iwobi, Berge, Robinson; Wilson, Smith Rowe; Jimenez

Unavailable: Lukic (Injured), Muniz (Fitness)

Questionable: Chukwueze (Personal reasons), Bobb (Fitness)

Man Utd vs Fulham prediction

It's been a superb start to life as Man Utd manager for Michael Carrick, who saw his side follow up their derby victory over Man City with a fine 2-3 success against table-toppers Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.

The Red Devils are playing with a swagger right now but there have been a number of false dawns in recent seasons, with big victories often followed with abject displays.

Fulham, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last eight games in all competitions, and once again had in-form Harry Wilson to thank when the Welshman's injury-time free kick gave them a 2-1 success over Brighton last time out.

The Cottagers are very much in the mix for the European places and will be keen to avoid defeat against a team just four points ahead of them in the table.

This is a contest between two teams who have reason to be confident, and it would be no surprise to see both teams find the net at Old Trafford.
