Manchester City just about kept themselves alive in the title race at the weekend as they now welcome an entertaining but fallible Fulham side to the Etihad Stadium.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports / USA – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – discovery+ / USA – Peacock

Man City team news: Khusanov concussion

Abdokodir Khusanov was replaced as a concussion substitute against Liverpool at the weekend and so he is a doubt but Ruben Dias came on and has returned to full fitness.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Ait-Nouri; Silva, Rodri, O’Reilly; Semenyo, Haaland, Cherki

Unavailable: Gvardiol (Injured), Stones (Fitness), Kovacic (Injured), Doku (Injured), Savinho (Injured)

Questionable: Khusanov (Concussion)

Fulham team news: Cairney a doubt

Marco Silva explained last week that experienced midfielder Tom Cairney picked up a slight injury issue in training and so he is again a doubt for the trip up to Manchester.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Sesegnon; Berge, Iwobi; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Chukwueze; Jimenez

Unavailable: Lukic (Injured)

Questionable: Cairney (Injured)

Man City vs Fulham prediction

Manchester City are six points behind Arsenal at the top-of-the-table but they managed to avoid going nine behind with the Cityzens managing to dramatically come from behind late on to defeat Liverpool by two goals to one at Anfield. City simply have to keep on winning.

They now face a Fulham side that have been dealt a blow in their push for European qualification with three defeats in their last four matches. After the Cottagers suffered a dramatic, last-gasp 3-2 loss to Manchester United, they then suffered a turnaround at home to Everton at the weekend.

Those defeats showed just how fun Fulham can be, as was the case in their 5-4 defeat to City in early-December. A home win is to be expected but Fulham will fancy their chances of creating quite a lot at the Etihad.
