Mallorca preview: Improving Majorcans

It has been a tumultuous start to the season for a Real Mallorca side that had been trying to push for the top seven or eight and the European spots this year. The Majorcans have begun to start improving of late, though.

Jago Arrasate, who has been under immense pressure, leads his Mallorca side into an impressive 3-1 defeat of Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last weekend, coming from a goal down at half-time.

Levante preview: Entertaining Levante

Following their automatic promotion back to the top-flight of Spanish football last season, Levante have been entertaining to watch thus far with their nine matches having consisted of 30 goals in La Liga.

They do, though, come into this one on the back of returning from the October international break with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Rayo Vallecano at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia last weekend.

Mallorca team news: Toni Lato out

Mallorca full-back Toni Lato is sidelined for this weekend after an injury sustained last weekend. Defender Marash Kumbulla is a doubt, though, due to a hamstring issue.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leo Roman; Pablo Maffeo, Valjent, Antonio Raillo, Mateu Morey; Manu Morlanes, Costa; Javi Llabres, Sergi Darder, Jan Virgili; Muriqi

Unavailable: Toni Lato (Injured), Dani Rodriguez (Disciplinary), Asano (Injured)

Questionable: Kumbulla (Injured)

Levante team news: Couple of doubts

Levante head to Son Moix with a couple of doubts for this weekend as defender Alan Matturro is potentially sidelined alongside attacker Carlos Alvarez, dealing with an ankle injury.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Ryan; Toljan, Dela, Matias Moreno, Manu Sanchez; Jose Luis Morales, Unai Vencedor, Kervin Arriaga, Brugui; Eyong, Ivan Romero

Unavailable:

Questionable: Matturro (Injured), Carlos Alvarez (Injured)

Mallorca vs Levante prediction

Jago Arrasate was initially tasked, when brought in in the summer of 2024, with expanding the style of football at Mallorca, but they remained underwhelming. However, they come into this one on the back of finally showing some signs of cutting edge in the final third as they now come up against one of the more entertaining teams to watch in La Liga and so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.

Mallorca vs Levante tip: Both teams to score
