Mainz vs Fiorentina prediction

Under the management of Bo Henriksen, Mainz come into this one on the back of back-to-back victories at the start of the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League. They have been woeful domestically, though, as they sit in the bottom two and the automatic relegation places in the Bundesliga.

They now face a Fiorentina side that have sacked Stefano Pioli after a woeful start to the campaign. I Viola have been runners’ up in this competition in 2023 and 2024, before reaching the semi-finals last season. Pioli has been replaced by Daniele Galloppa on an interim basis.

Mainz are taking this competition very seriously and, with home advantage as well as the woes of their opposition, they will fancy their chances of making it three from three.
