Madagascar began their CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign by succumbing to a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria. They finished FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification well and are an improving team in African international football.
Tanzania started their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau to continue their poor form. Their 6-0 victory over Macau in March is their only victory in their last 14 matches.
Tanzania have massively regressed and, with their home advantage, Madagascar will expect to come out on top in this one on Tuesday.
