Maccabi Tel-Aviv vs Dinamo Zagreb prediction

On the opening match day of the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League, Maccabi Tel-Aviv managed to hold PAOK Salonika to a goalless draw at the Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki last week. The Israelis were champions of the Israeli Premier League last season.

Dinamo Zagreb, very surprisingly, were toppled at the top of Croatian football last season as they were beaten to the punch by eventual champions Rijeka. They did get automatic qualification into the league phase of the UEFA Europa League, though, whilst Rijeka fell down into the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Dinamo Zagreb will be confident after their 3-1 defeat of Fenerbahce last week and, on neutral territory, will also fancy their chances of taking the game to the Israelis this week.
