High-flying Lyon have developed an uncanny knack of earning 1-0 victories in Ligue 1 this season. Indeed, they have recorded that exact scoreline in five of their eight competitive games in 2025-26, and they have kept a clean sheet in seven of those.
That defensive resolve is an excellent foundation with which to build victories, and they are currently riding a four-game winning streak across Ligue 1 and the UEFA Europa League.
Toulouse snapped their three-game losing streak by drawing 2-2 at home to Nantes last time out, twice coming from behind to claim a point. Heading into the weekend, they sit in tenth place in the Ligue 1 table, exactly the position they finished 2024-25 in, so their results have been par for the course so far.
Lyon just simply have that winning habit at the moment, and another win without without conceding would not be a surprise on home turf.
