Los Angeles FC needed to back up their dramatic penalty shootout triumph over Guadalajara with further league phase success and they did just that, getting the better of Toluca by a goal to nil in a hard-fought battle that saw the LAFC backline hold firm. Now Queretaro are on deck and with little to play for following back-to-back losses.
That victory over Toluca came late and showed that this LAFC side doesn’t give up right until the final whistle. They should have more routine success against Queretaro though, when considering how poor they’ve been across the tournament. Back victory for LAFC by at least two clear goals.
