Lorient vs Metz prediction

Lorient come into this one on the back of a 7-0 demolition of Gosier in the round of 64 of the Coupe de France a couple of weeks ago. That means that the home team have now enjoyed a six-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions, conceding just three goals in that time.

They face a Metz side that, following promotion to the top-flight alongside Lorient last season, did find some improved form with three wins in five games through the autumn but they remain rock-bottom, albeit now well in with a chance of climbing out of the bottom two and the automatic relegation places.

With their home advantage, Lorient will be expected to come out on top but Metz, with a newfound sense of what they are trying to do to be effective, may not make it straightforward.

Lorient vs Metz tip: Lorient to win
