Liverpool Team News: Jones won't make it

Arne Slot has confirmed that Curtis Jones will miss this fixture due to an injury picked up midweek, while Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones are the other two absentees.

Ibrahima Konate's minutes will be managed in the coming period, but the centre-back should start having sat out Tuesday's Champions League win.

Ipswich Team News: Only three missing

There are no new injury issues in the Ipswich squad according to Kieran McKenna, who is missing just Chiedozie Ogbene, Conor Chaplin and Sam Szmodics.

New loan signing Julio Enciso could be set for some minutes, while Jaden Philogene, who signed on a permanent deal from Aston Villa mid-January, will be hoping for more minutes after he made his debut from the bench against Man City last weekend.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Walton; O'Shea, Godfrey, Greaves, Davis; Hutchinson, Phillips, Cajuste, Philogene; Delap

Liverpool vs Ipswich Prediction

Fresh off maintaining their 100% record in the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool host Ipswich at Anfield hoping to keep the chasing pack at bay.

In truth, the league leaders haven't quite been firing on all cylinders lately and it took an injury-time brace from substitute Darwin Nunez last weekend to claim all three points at Brentford. Had it not been for the Uruguayan's late contribution, the Reds were looking at a third straight Premier League game without a win.

Ipswich come into this off the back of a 0-6 drubbing at the hands of Man City, which leaves them in the bottom three on goal difference heading into the weekend. Kieran McKenna's men have made some promising moves in the transfer market this month, but such a result against a Man City team who have hardly been at their best lately does not bode well for them here.

All the signs point towards a handsome home win for Arne Slot's men.

Liverpool vs Ipswich Tip: Liverpool to win & over 2.5 goals
