Liverpool preview: Unusual form
Arne Slot has had the pressure ratcheted up on him after the sacking of Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid but the Dutchman is easing it a little bit with what is now an 11-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions, albeit it has been quite underwhelming.
The Reds most recently hammered League One side Barnsley by four goals to one at Anfield in the third round of the FA Cup last week, courtesy of goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.
Burnley preview: Struggling but stubborn
Burnley are in immense pressure down in the bottom three and the relegation places in the Premier League, but the Clarets did manage to annihilate Millwall by five goals to one in a relatively surprising cup drubbing at Turf Moor last weekend.
In the Premier League, their most recent outing saw them share a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, their third draw in four matches in the league, but they have extended their winless run of form to 12 matches.
Liverpool team news: Nothing fresh
In his pre-match press conference, Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for the Reds to deal with ahead of the visit of Burnley.
Conor Bradley is expected to a large part of this year due to a knee injury, while Mohamed Salah remains at AFCON for the third place playoff with Egypt on Saturday.

Burnley team news: Worrall 'close'
In his pre-match press conference, Burnley boss Scott Parker has confirmed that centre-back Joe Worrall is 'close' to a return having resumed training, while Zian Flemming could return next weekend.
Hannibal Mejbri, Axel Tuanzebe and Lyle Foster have all returned from the CAF Africa Cup of Nations but captain Josh Cullen is expected to miss the rest of this season.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Dubravka; Laurent, Tuanzebe, Esteve; Walker, Luis, Ugochukwu, Hartman; Anthony, Foster, Tchaouna

Liverpool vs Burnley prediction
Their 11-match unbeaten run has included an FA Cup win against Barnsley as well as draws with Sunderland, Leeds United twice and Fulham – as well as victories against West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Point being, it hasn’t been the most impressive or convincing. That said, they now face another side that fall into that category and an extension to 12 without a loss appears likely on Merseyside.
