Lille preview: Grinding it out
Bruno Genesio and his Lille side had been in shocking form since the turn of the year but the hosts, who had been impressive in the first-half of the campaign, have earned some much-needed victories in the last week.
Having ended their winless run against Angers last weekend, Lille then went to Serbia and defeated Crvena Zvezda by two goals to nil after extra-time, with Olivier Giroud starring in their UEFA Europa League knockout playoff round tie.
Nantes preview: Big win last week
At the turn of the year, Nantes made a change in the dugout with Ahmed Kantari replacing now Levante manager Luis Castro but the Canaries continued to massively struggle, both in terms of performances and results.
The visitors, though, earned themselves a potentially pivotal victory at Stade de la Beaujoire last weekend, with a Yassin Zouaoui own goal and then an Ignatius Ganago penalty giving them a crucial 2-0 victory.

Lille vs Nantes prediction
Nantes’ aforementioned defeat of Le Havre in Brittany last weekend ended what was a six-match losing streak and there will be concerns that that win was simply anomalous to the grand scheme of things, especially with the manner of their goals. Lille, on the other hand, will believe that their recent blip was just that and they are now slowly turning the tide once again and should continue that with a third successive victory here.
Lille vs Nantes tip: Lille to win
