Leyton Orient vs Wigan prediction

Leyton Orient missed out on promotion with a defeat to Charlton Athletic in the League One playoff final last season. Richie Wellens’ O’s have since lost several key players this season, such as several loanees like Josh Keeley, Jack Currie and Charlie Kelman, whilst Ethan Galbraith has been sold on to Huddersfield Town, too.

They began their season with a 3-0 loss to Huddersfield last weekend, whilst Wigan Athletic managed to ease past Northampton Town by three goals to one. Ryan Lowe, in his first full season in charge of the Latics, is tasked with mending Wigan’s attack this season, to make them at least a challenger for the top six.

Wigan will believe they are the favourites for this one, but it is expected that Orient eventually find their feet again under Wellens, so both teams scoring seems a good bet.
