Levante preview: Strong finish to last season

Having propelled themselves clear as one of the best teams in the second half of last season, Levante have again be reasonably steady in terms of their performance level thus far with one win, two draws and three defeats in six games.

The Valencians did, though, head into the prolonged international break on the back of back-to-back defeats with a 3-1 defeat to Villarreal at El Madrigal after they had been beaten 4-2 loss at home to Barcelona the week before.

Sevilla preview: Strong start to this season

After being in a relegation battle in the last couple of seasons, Sevilla were again tipped to struggle this time around but Luis Garcia Plaza has started the season well with the Andalusians have collected 13 points from their seven games.

The Sevillanos put in another good performance ahead of the international break as they took the lead against Barcelona before succumbing to a 3-1 loss to the rampant and relentless Blaugrana at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Levante team news: A few doubts

Levante are dealing with a few injury doubts for this one as goalkeeper Alex Primo is expected to remain sidelined alongside both Hugo Sotelo and former Villarreal striker Karl Etta Eyong.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Ryan; Toljan, Dela, Mandi, Manu Sanchez; Jon Olasagasti, Oriol Rey, Bardelli; Brugui, Ivan Romero, Fernandez

Unavailable:

Questionable: Alex Primo (Injured), Hugo Sotelo (Injured), Eyong (Injured)

Sevilla head to Estadio Ciutat de Valencia with a couple of issues as Marcao is sidelined, while summer signing Lucas Stassin remains a doubt, too.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Vlachodimos; Juan Iglesias, Sangante, Castrin, Gabriel Suazo; Agoume, Fofana, Kochorashvili; Miguel Sierra, Ure, Correia

Unavailable: Marcao (Injured)

Questionable: Stassin (Injured)

Levante vs Sevilla prediction

Sevilla’s four victories have all come in fairly fortuitous circumstances whereas their best performances have perhaps come in defeats in that aforementioned loss to Barca as well as at home to Atletico Madrid. Luis Castro has got Levante to punch above their weight with quite a proactive and entertaining style of football and so both teams scoring would appear a decent bet for this one on Monday.
