Levante preview: Much-needed victory

Levante come into this one on the back of a comfortable and impressive 2-0 defeat of Deportivo Alaves last weekend, courtesy of a late brace scored by attacker Carles Espi.

Levante have shown improvement since the appointment of Luis Castro but those strong performances soon gave way to very poor results and, even with last week's win, they are expected to succumb to relegation quite easily.

Girona preview: Race for Europe

Girona started the season in a woeful position with relegation appearing an inevitability but the Catalans, despite apparent in-fighting in the autumn, have turned things around ahead of this run in.

Michel's side come into this one on the back of a bit of a stumble, though, in terms of their results with a 2-2 draw against Alaves being followed up by a very frustrating but hard-fought 2-1 loss at home to Celta Vigo.

Levante team news: Attacking absentees

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Ryan; Toljan, Dela, Matias Moreno, Manu Sanchez; Oriol Rey, Unai Vencedor; Tunde, Carlos Alvarez, Jose Luis Morales; Ivan Romero

Girona team news: A few injuries

Girona head to Valencia with a few injury issues. The most latest one for the visitors comes in attack with the absence of the experienced Cristhian Stuani due to a groin issue.

Predicted XI (4-3-2-1): Paulo Gazzaniga; Hugo Rincon, Reis, Blind, Arnau Martinez; Lemar, Witsel, Fran Beltran; Tsygankov, Bryan Gil; Vanat

Unavailable: Juan Carlos (Injured), Ter Stegen (Injured), Ricard Artero (Injured), Van de Beek (Injured), Cristhian Stuani (Injured)

Questionable: Alex Moreno (Injured)

Levante vs Girona prediction

Girona are playing some reasonably good football at the moment and so they will likely get themselves on the front foot but Levante, right from the start of the campaign following their promotion last season, have also been one of the more proactive teams in Spain and so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one on Saturday afternoon in Valencia.

Levante vs Girona tip: Both teams to score
