Levante preview: Promising start

Following their promotion to the Spanish top-flight last season, Levante have been steady thus far and they have been entertaining to watch, too, with only five teams having scored more than them so far this season.

However, only the bottom two sides Real Oviedo and Girona have conceded more. The Valencians were entertaining again in midweek as they scraped past lower league Orihuela by four goals to three in the Copa.

Celta Vigo preview: Brilliant Galicians

Coached by Claudio Giraldez, Celta Vigo’s former B team coach, Celta have been brilliant to watch throughout the last couple of years and they have been strong once again, as they finally get themselves up and running with wins.

After a run of seven draws and two defeats in their opening nine matches, Celta packed up a UEFA Europa League win over Nice by defeating Osasuna by three goals to two before a Copa del Rey win against Puerto de Vega.

Levante team news: Ivan Romero a doubt

Levante’s key striker Ivan Romero is a doubt for the home team this weekend as he deals with a thigh issue, with defender Alan Matturro remaining sidelined.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Ryan; Toljan, Unai Elgezabal, Matias Moreno, Manu Sanchez; Brugui, Unai Vencedor, Kervin Arriaga, Carlos Alvarez; Eyong, Koyalipou

Questionable: Ivan Romero (Injured)

Celta Vigo team news: Fresh injuries

Celta are dealing with fresh injury issues for this one as defender Javi Rodriguez is now sidelined alongside midfielder Javi Rueda, as well as Sweden international Williot Swedberg.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Radu; Manu Fernandez, Aidoo, Marcos Alonso; Sergio Carreira, Damian Rodriguez, Ilaix Moriba, Ristic; Ferran Jutgla, Borja Iglesias, Bryan Zaragoza

Levante vs Celta Vigo prediction

Levante have, as mentioned, been brilliant to watch throughout the campaign. The home team have a slick counter-attacking style against possession-based teams and that is what they will hope to play like against a strong Celta side that can also adapt themselves. Celta have been one of the more entertaining teams in Spain for a while and Levante are that now and so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.

Levante vs Celta Vigo tip: Both teams to score
