These are two of the weaker sides in Group C of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are all too evenly matched.

Key Stats

  • Lesotho have lost their last three World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Zimbabwe have won only one of their last 27 World Cup qualifying matches (D11 L15). They are without a win in 15 (D7 L8), since a 3-1 home victory against Somalia in September 2019.

Lesotho vs Zimbabwe Prediction

Lesotho come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 defeat to Nigeria in South Africa the other day. That result means that Lesotho remain second from bottom in Group C after two victories, three draws and four defeats in their nine matches during this campaign.

Zimbabwe are one of the few teams in Africa to remain winless in this qualifying campaign. The Zimbabweans have failed to win and yet have still only suffered four defeats, which is the same amount as Lesotho. They managed to hold a strong South Africa side to a goalless draw the other day.

These are two limited sides and, whilst Lesotho would have to be viewed as slight favourites, it is expected to be a low-scoring affair regardless of the end match result.

Lesotho vs Zimbabwe Tip: Under 2.5 goals
