Lens vs Nice prediction

Pierre Sage and his Lens side will have been frustrated with dodgy results and performances in the spring as they finished second in the Ligue 1 table, eventually six points behind winners Paris Saint-Germain. However, the northerners have been brilliant throughout the campaign and can finish it in style here.

The last couple of months saw Nice show some fight and improvement, including a semi-final victory away at Strasbourg, but a defeat to Auxerre on the penultimate match day of the campaign ultimately condemned the southerners to third-from-bottom in Ligue 1 and the relegation/promotion playoff against Saint-Etienne next week.

Unusually for a cup final, Nice have much bigger things coming just around the corner and so siding with Lens to get themselves a reasonably comfortable victory seems a good bet for this one.
