Leigh Leopards Team News: Armstrong remains out

Leigh Leopards remain without David Armstrong and boss Adrian Lam is also unable to call upon Frankie Halton and Keanan Brand, both of who are injured. In better news however, Edwin Ipape returns from suspension.

Squad: Darnell McIntosh, Tesi Niu, Umyla Hanley, Josh Charnley, Gareth O’Brien, Lachlan Lam, Owen Trout, Edwin Ipape, Robbie Mulhern, Jack Hughes, Isaac Liu, Matt Davis, Brad Dwyer, Louis Brogan, Ethan O’Neill, Andrew Badrock, Ben McNamara, Nathan Wilde, Bailey Hodgson, AJ Towse, Joe Ofahengaue

Catalans Dragons Team News: Tomkins back

The Dragons travel to Newcastle with one of their stars back in the fold. Sam Tomkins has returned from injury and should take to the field here for Steve McNamara’s side. However, Tommy Makinson misses out.

Squad: Sam Tomkins, Reimis Smith, Nick Cotric, Luke Keary, Tevota Pangai Jr, Benjamin Garcis, Julian Bousquet, Tariq Sims, Elliott Whitehead, Oliver Partington, Alrix Da Costa, Chris Satae, Romain Navarrete, Bayley Sironen, Cesar Rouge, Paul Seguier, Theo Fages, Fouad Yaha, Matthieu Laguerre, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet, Leo Darrelatour

Leigh Leopards vs Catalans Dragons Prediction

Catalans Dragons make the trip to Newcastle in red hot form, having won each of their last four games in all competitions. But they face a Leopards side who boast the same recent record and won’t be phased by the Dragons, whom they have already beaten at home this season and resounding so by a score of 34-6.

However, the absence of Armstrong is a blow for Leigh and combine that with Tomkins being back may just tip the scales ever so slightly in the Dragons’ favour. With that in mind, the value play may well be backing a Catalans victory here.
