Leicester preview: Foxes finishing well

Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to depart Leicester City this season with Sean Dyche reportedly being lined up to replace the Dutchman at the King Power but after a woeful campaign, the Foxes have taken some pride from their last two matches.

They defeated Southampton by two goals to nil a couple of weeks ago thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy and Jordan Ayew before then denying rivals Nottingham Forest a much-needed win in their pursuit of a top five finish with a 2-2 draw at the City Ground.

Ipswich preview: Tractor Boys want a win

Ipswich Town are not necessarily playing with the same sort of motivation as Leicester with the Tractor Boys coming into this one on the back of their 22nd defeat of the season, suffering a 1-0 loss at home to Brentford due to an 18th minute strike scored by Kevin Schade.

Ipswich have managed just four victories in their 36 matches so far this season and, despite often being competitive and gaining some plaudits from neutrals, there must surely be some criticism to go around for Kieran McKenna, despite the impressive job he has done generally.

Leicester vs Ipswich prediction

To be mischievous, it could well be that one of these teams yet stay up. Manchester City’s potential punishment for their 115 charges have not yet been announced but if it was to be an immediate points deduction so hefty that it sends them to the bottom-of-the-table then one of Leicester or Ipswich may still survive. That is probably a ludicrous suggestion but it is already a ludicrous situation. Either way, both sides will surely want to offer their supporters something ahead of their return to the Championship and both teams scoring may well be a good bet for this one in the east midlands.

Leicester vs Ipswich tip: Both teams to score
