Lecce played out a typically dull and low-scoring affair last weekend as they shared a goalless draw with rock-bottom Monza in Lombardy last weekend. Lecce, despite their improvement under Giampaolo, have scored just 18 goals in their 25 matches so far this season. They now take on an Udinese side that begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the top-half of the table with the Friulians most recently hammering Empoli by three goals to nil. However, tey have scored just 14 goals in 12 games away from home with just three wins and a low-scoring encounter appears almost inevitable for this one.
