The round of 16 of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores continues in Ecuador on Thursday as Ecuadorian giants LDU Quito take on John Textor-owned Botafogo.

In the first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores round of 16 tie at the Estadio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro last weekend, Botafogo edged past LDU Quito by a goal to nil. The Brazilians took a first minute lead via Artur and managed to cling on to that one-goal advantage to take to the Ecuadorian capital this week.
LDU Quito come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manta in the Ecuadorian LigaPro at the weekend, sitting nine points adrift of Independiente del Valle at the top-of-the-table. Botafogo were beaten by Palmeiras, though, to leave them sitting outside of the top four in the Brazilian Serie A table.
Botafogo will be concerned that they haven’t been able to put the tie to bed and, LDU Quito, with their home advantage, will fancy their chances of overturning the deficit.
