Marco Baroni’s Lazio have enjoyed five victories with one draw, a frustrating goalless draw at home to Ludogorets, in the UEFA Europa League as they now face Real Sociedad in Rome.

However, that aforementioned draw with Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad at the Stadio Olimpico has perhaps shone a light on a dip in form for the hosts. They have won five of their last 11 matches across all competitions after previously winning 11 and losing one of their 12 matches before that dip in form that started with the game against Ludogorets.

They now face a Real Sociedad side that will be dreaming of reaching the final of this competition which is to be played at arch-rivals Athletic Club’s San Mames in May. La Real started the season very poorly but Imanol Aguacil’s Basque giants have now suffered just two defeats in their last 11 matches across all competitions.

Lazio, especially with their home advantage, will be expected to take the game to Real Sociedad but that should fall into the visitors’ trap with their impressive pressing and counter-attacking style of football so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one at the Olimpico.
