Lazio preview: Pushing for Europe
Under the management of Maurizio Sarri, Lazio begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting eighth in the table but the Romans have suffered just one defeat in their last four matches in Serie A in what has been an improved recent run of form.
The home team come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 win at the Ennio Tardini against Parma last week, courtesy of a late Tijjani Noslin strike after both Mattia Zaccagni and Toma Basic had been sent off for the hosts.
Cremonese preview: Steady Cremonese
Cremonese come into this one on the back of a fairly flat 1-0 defeat to Torino at the Olimpico di Torino in their most recent outing last weekend due to a 27th minute strike scored by Croatia international attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic.
The Cremona-based outfit, following their promotion to the top-flight and the subsequent appointment of Davide Nicola, have been steady so far this season with five victories, five draws and five defeats in their 15 Serie A games.
Lazio team news: Several suspensions
Those aforementioned red cards for both Zaccagni and Basic mean that they are both missing through suspension for this one, which is also the case for defender Mario Gila.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Patric, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Matias Vecino; Cancellieri, Taty Castellanos, Noslin
Unavailable: Gigot (Injured), Gila (Suspended), Hysaj (Injured), Rovella (Injured), Basic (Suspended), Isaksen (Injured), Zaccagni (Suspended)

Cremonese team news: A few absentees
Cremonese head to the capital city with quite a few injury absentees as Ecuador international winger Jeremy Sarmiento is sidelined alongside the likes of Matteo Bianchetti and Alberto Grassi.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Audero; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Ceccherini; Barbieri, Payero, Bondo, Vandeputte, Pezzella; Bonazzoli, Vardy

Lazio vs Cremonese prediction
Lazio will believe they can certainly take the game to Cremonese but so-called ‘Sarri-ball’ has certainly been watered down in terms of its attacking intent, with a desire to be more controlling that outright gung-ho. That should suit a Cremonese side that are seeking to limit the opposition themselves. Lazio remain favourites, despite their suspension issues, but it is unlikely to be a thriller for the neutral.
