Lausanne Sport have started the league phase of this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League with back-to-back victories. They started with a 3-0 hammering of Icelandic champions Breidablik before they then edged past Maltese champions Hamrun Spartans by a goal to nil.
Omonia Nicosia will be hoping to continue the improvement of Cypriot club football. The capital city club have collected just a point from their opening two matches. They most recently eased to a comfortable 2-0 win against Paralimni to remain top-of-the-table in the Cypriot First Division.
Omonia will head to Switzerland seeking to be competitive but this may not be their overall priority and so siding with Lausanne would appear the way to go for this one.
