LAFC vs Inter Miami prediction

Under the management of Steve Cherundolo, LAFC, the winners of the 2024 MLS Western Conference, have endured an inconsistent start to the 2025 MLS campaign with a 3-2 defeat to the league’s newest franchise, San Diego, at the weekend meaning they have begun this season with three victories and three losses thus far.

They now face an Inter Miami side that, captained by Lionel Messi with the likes of Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez in their squad, won the Eastern Conference last season and are back at the top-of-the-table this time around, too, despite having played a game fewer than 13 of the other 14 teams in the division, winning four and drawing one of their opening five matches.

Javier Mascherano is proving to be an impressive coach but this is a tough test between two sides that play a generally attacking and fun style of football so both teams scoring in this first-leg seems a good bet.
