Key stats

  • Kosovo are unbeaten in their last four World Cup qualifying matches (W3 D1), keeping clean sheets in all four.
  • Kosovo have won back-to-back World Cup qualifying matches for the first time.
  • Switzerland have lost only one of their last 43 World Cup qualifying matches (W32 D10). They are unbeaten in 15 (W10 D5).
  • Switzerland have conceded a total of just three goals in their last 15 World Cup qualifying matches.

Kosovo vs Switzerland prediction

Under the management of former Austria boss Franco Foda, Kosovo have collected ten points from their five matches thus far after another impressive performance the other day as they eased to a comfortable 2-0 win in Ljubljana against Slovenia, courtesy of a Fisnik Asllani goal as well as a Zan Karnicnik own goal.

They now face a Switzerland side that reached the quarter-finals of UEFA EURO 2024 and they have more or less eased themselves to yet another FIFA World Cup appearance, having hammered Sweden by four goals to one with goals from Breel Embolo, Granit Xhaka, Dan Ndoye and Junior Manzambi.

The Swiss head to Kosovo knowing that if they avoid an eight-goal defeat then they will be in North America and that complacency could help Kosovo finish with a flourish.

Kosovo vs Switzerland tip: Double chance – Kosovo to win or draw
