Korea Republic vs Kuwait prediction

Korea Republic have already qualified for the World Cup next year but they remain the only unbeaten team in the third round of qualifying in the AFC so they will be eager to maintain that record.

They come off a challenging but successful trip to Iraq where they won 2-0 thanks to goals from Kim Jin-gyu and Oh Hyeon-gyu and they play their final match here as they welcome Kuwait to the capital.

Kuwait have already been eliminated from contention and they will have to lift themselves to perform in this incredibly difficult away trip.

They lost 1-3 at home in the first reverse fixture and were comfortably beaten, while they were hugely disappointing last Thursday when Palestine beat them 2-0 at home.

It is hard to make a case for Kuwait troubling Korea Republic here. They have only scored four goals in their nine games in this phase and they have shipped 16. Even with nothing on the line, Korea Republic’s ethos and determination combined with their much greater quality should see them run out comfortable winners once again.
