The Lithuanian Super Cup takes place this weekend as Lithuanian champions Kauno Zalgiris take on the last season’s cup winners Panevezys on Sunday afternoon.

Kauno Zalgiris vs Panevezys prediction 

Kauno Zalgiris finished eight points clear of Hegelmann at the top-of-the-table in the 2025 A Lyga. They have also enjoyed some good pre-season results of late as they seek what would be just a second ever piece of silverware.

They now face a Panevezys side that, under the management of Roland Vrabec, finished in the middle-of-the-table in the league last year but managed to win the cup for just the second time ever after success in 2020.

The 2023 champions, Panevezys, won the Supercup in 2021 and in 2024, the two teams that they have played in it, and so perhaps siding with them against rookies Kauno may well be of good value here.
