In the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie, Kuopion Pallosuera took advantage of home conditions to ensure a 2-0 victory over their Kazakh opposition at the Kuopio Football Stadium in Finland.
In that clash, KuPS were dominant throughout the game and eventually secured a win with two second-half goals, coming from Mohamed Toure and then Jaakko Oksanen.
The repechage of UEFA competition qualification means that if KuPS progress from this tie then they will be guaranteed to be playing in at least the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Kairat would have to be viewed as favourites to win this match and get themselves back in the tie, but KuPS can sit back and hit on the counter-attack, which may well be enough.
